What is foundChange?
foundChange is an ongoing series of trainings and retreats for clergy, medical personnel, mental health practitioners, teachers and leaders.
Through foundChange we create space to explore healing that is in process for you and those in your care. We revisit our growth edges to find the innate healing that is already present within us.
We provide a safe place to ground ourselves in the wisdom of our bodies, minds and intellects to face the challenges of our times.
We do this through:
- Webinars
- Seminars
- Retreats: in-person and virtually
We provide a safe place to ground ourselves in the wisdom of our bodies, minds and intellects to face the challenges of our times.

Landmines and Lily Pads: Using Narrative Medicine Strategies
to manage the Clinician’s experience while working with our clients
Illinois Psychological Association Convention
November 7th from 10:45-12:15
This workshop will incorporate the elements of trauma-informed care, resiliency, and communication practices to meet the unique needs of clinicians and clients as we integrate a series of “unprecedented events” over the last four years.
We will discuss neurochemistry of trauma and of integration/trauma mastery. We will recognize and reframe our innate storytelling styles to move from a place of traumatic recall to resilience based engagement with the material. We will be able to apply narrative therapy and narrative medicine strategies in our work places to promote resilience with those in our care.
Parenting Strategies for Anxious Times
Sunday November 17th from 4:00 to 6:00
Anxiety can be contagious. So can Hope. Sometimes, anxiety is an expression of grief. Sometimes anxiety is an expression of anger or resentment. This webinar experience is for people who are Anxious and are Parents. For parents who are worried they might be “getting it wrong” or unable to help their anxious child. We’ll review neurochemistry and anxiety from an adult as well as a pediatric vantage. We’ll talk about how to manage the worries that are right in front of us and those in our future. We’ll practice age-appropriate conversations with our children.
Parenting Strategies for Anxious Times is crafted to give parents information that can be used immediately.
Welcome In!
Saturday December 7th 10:00 – 2:00
This half day retreat opens the door to a new year; a new chapter; and the “next normal.” Throughout the year, we’ve gathered to discuss how to find inner calm in a world that is fractious, attending the tasks of grief, storytelling gifts and where we fit in the larger story that we all live in. We will prepare for and “Welcome In” 2025; reviewing the year, claiming what we will keep, discarding what we no longer need and setting intention for the coming year.
Join us = whether this is your 5th gathering with us or your 1st. All are welcome.
